This beautifully renovated house was stripped down to the studs for a full-scale renovation. Beautifully designed and completely renovated by a highly nationally-recognized designer, the house retains the original 1906 Dutch Colonial charm, but was creatively reimagined for today's open-concept and luxurious living.
Gorgeous details abound in this 4 bedroom 2.5 Bath house, with everything being brand new and completed in the Summer of 2017. The house is perfect for multi-generational families, several couples traveling together, or quiet and respectful friend groups.
This home is located 150 yards from beautiful Willard Beach, a 3-block walk to Willard Square, home of the famous Scratch Baking Company, ranked as a "Top 10 bread bakery in the US" and featured in Bon Appetit and the New York Times and on the Food Network. Scratch Baking is famous for it's hand-made bagels but also features a multitude of artisanal breads, incredible breakfast pastries, absolutely delicious gourmet desserts by the piece, a fantastic gourmet coffee bar, slab pizza (by the slice), gourmet sandwiches and salads made to order, and wines, other drinks and much, much more.

MAIN LEVEL
The 2,125 square foot home features an open floor plan on the first floor, with a fantastic centrally-located gourmet kitchen, fully appointed and outfitted with absolutely everything you can think of and designed for multiple chefs sharing the space at once.
The all-new dream kitchen features white and aqua cabinetry and gorgeous quartz countertops with a beautiful and huge kitchen island made of polished Mahogany butcher block wood and plenty of storage space. The chef's kitchen is fully appointed and outfitted with service for 24 dishes, glassware, and silverware and features an abundance of pots pans, all types of bakeware, a microwave, a Ninja blender, a large pancake griddle, waffle-maker, a lobster pot, a drip coffee maker, a toaster and every utensil and small appliance your would expect in a very well-appointed kitchen. It is perfectly set up for entertaining.
The large, bright and sunny dining room is on one side of the kitchen. A huge 96" farmhouse table and 12 comfortable Pottery Barn chairs are perfect for long dinner conversations.
The open living room features a comfy sofa and matching love seat plus three chairs (extra chairs can be brought in from the kitchen area), all surrounding the gas fireplace and Samsung Smart TV. The first floor also features a spacious side-entry mud room, perfect for coming in from the beach or the snow, with a beautiful powder room at the end. A very nice touch in the winter are the heated floors of both the side entrance and the power room.
SECOND LEVEL
There are four bedrooms on the second floor, two with huge king sized beds with very high-end fantastic mattresses, both dressed in gorgeous Pottery Barn linens. All bedrooms feature room air conditioners, with additional a/c window units available for quick installation in downstairs windows upon request. Plenty of oversized super-fluffy bath sheets and plenty of high-quality and huge beach towels also provided. The bedroom details are as follows:
Master Bedroom with California King Bed (longer than a regular King): Very spacious, private, and en-suite with it's own wing of the house (the entire section above the garage) and windows on three sides. The en suite master bathroom features a marble double-vanity sink and tiled/glass door double shower. The master bedroom features beautiful furniture from Restoration Hardware and a California king bed with a fantastic mattress, two antique Bergere chairs, a very comfy love seat, a Samsung flatscreen TV and 4 very large windows, including a transom window above the bed. Windows on three sides of the room allow for absolutely fantastic ocean cross breezes and the scent of salty air. Gorgeous bedding from Pottery Barn, plus high-end 100% Egyptian Cotton Percale sheets and plenty of fantastic pillows ensure a great night's sleep. An additional regular twin bed (regular mattress/frame) and pack 'n plays are all available upon request, with advanced notice. Room a/c unit.
2nd King Bedroom: A romantic and beautiful 2nd king bedroom features with a King size wrought-iron bed with a fantastic high-end mattress, dressed in beautiful bedding from Pottery Barn with 100% Egyptian Cotton Percale sheets and high-quality pillows. Room a/c unit and blackout shades.
Double Queen Bedroom: Outfitted with two beautiful Pottery Barn queen beds, dressed in stunning Serena and Lily bedding, 100% Egyptian cotton percale sheets, fantastic pillows and a Samsung flatscreen TV. Room features 3 large windows for fantastic cross breezes and the scent of the ocean, blackout shades and a room a/c unit.
Queen and Double Bed Room: Fourth bedroom features a queen bed and a double bed, a huge window and a small window and is very bright and sunny, with plantation shades on the both windows, a small dresser next to each bed, serving as nightstands, and a window a/c unit. 100% Egyptian Cotton percale sheets and beautiful bedding from Nordstroms.
OUTDOOR AREAS
The rooftop deck with ocean views is absolutely stunning and features a huge and very comfortable sectional with seating for more people than the house can even accommodate, so you can sprawl out, lay out and suntan, etc. Three coffee tables are perfect for casual oceanside dining and two propane fire pits keep things toasty on a cool Maine night. Watch the ever-changing scene as ships pass thru the Portland Shipping channel. Amazing sunsets can be enjoyed from the deck.
A small deck off the dining room on the main level has two comfy chairs for a great spot to steal a quiet moment or enjoy your morning coffee.
Home has space for up to 4 cars in the driveway and we need to limit the maximum of cars in your group to 4.
A large gas Grill is stored in the garage and can be wheeled out to the driveway for convenient grilling close to the kitchen.
LOCATION
NOTES
The entire home and incredible rooftop deck with hot tub and fabulous ocean views is available for my guests' enjoyment. This is a private single-family home with other homes in very close proximity on four sides and guests are welcome to use any and all areas of the home and yard, but you must be respectful of the neighbors. While we want you to enjoy the home and the beautiful outdoor space, we do not want you to enjoy yourselves to the detriment of the neighbors, which included young children and elderly residents that go to bed early and others that wake up early to go to work. Maintaining the peacefulness of our neighborhood is of utmost importance and we have strict 9 pm to 9 am quiet hours. Please feel free to ask any questions about this.
Please note that gatherings and events are strictly prohibited at this home and the home is to be enjoyed by the guests who stay here. We do not allow parties or any type of large gathering at this home that involve more than 11 people, whether they are daytime or evening guests or you are hosting local friends for a meal.
Pets will be considered at this home on an individual basis and only with prior approval and a pet fee. If you would like to bring your pets, please only submit an inquiry so we can discuss. Booking requests do not work when pets are included, so please send a regular inquiry first. Unapproved pets may be asked to be boarded, as all pets must be approved in advance, due to cleaning and allergy requirements.
Please read the house rules section before requesting a reservation and ask any questions that you may have, as the house rules are very important.
Maintaining the peace at this uniquely quiet and extremely peaceful location is of utmost importance, whether inside (with open windows) or outside. It is important to understand that the houses surrounding ours are extremely close together and noise and loud conversation from inside the house will be heard by the neighbors if the windows are open, so quiet hours, whether you are inside (with open windows) or outside, are from 9 pm to 10 am and no gatherings are allowed on the deck, yard, driveway or patio past 9 pm. The outdoor areas all close at 9 pm. Please do not request exceptions.
Please note that the maximum occupancy at this property is 12 guests, whether daytime, nighttime or overnight. A guest count exceeding 12 people is not allowed on this property at any time. Should you choose to compromise our trust and invite additional people onto the property, even when they are not spending the night, a fine of $150 per person, per night of your reservation will be assessed. We are sorry but due to the quiet nature of this neighborhood and the close proximity of the houses surrounding ours, no exceptions can be made to the maximum guest count at this property.
Please note that this home is in a typical Maine beach community where homes are close to each other and residents are very friendly. We ask that our guests respect the fact that the surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents who are not on vacation and work in the morning.
If you are making a new reservation, please inquire about the number of beds in the house, as some of the beds will soon be removed. Let's discuss your needs and number of guests to make sure the house can still work for you.
Because we live nearby, this is not a vacation home that we use for ourselves. We are always available to help with our guests needs, as we live 2 minutes away.
